Multiseat
Multiseat ist der Begriff dafür, dass mehrere Personen gleichzeitig an einem Computer interaktiv arbeiten können.
Sinn und Zweck: Reduzierung der Hardwarekosten und des Wartungsaufwandes in Rechnerpools bzw. Mehrplatzbürozimmern.
Technische Vorraussetzungen
PC mit mehreren eingebauten Grafikkarten
z.B. ASUS X99-E WS Motherboard mit bis zu 7 PCI-X Steckplätzen in denen bis zu 7 Grafikkarten verbaut sind.
z.B. Nvidia EVGA Geforce GT210 Grafikkarte
Bei sieben eingebauten Grafikkarten ist die Bauhöhe der Grafikkarte entscheidend (exakt 1 HE), sowie der Stromverbrauch der einzelnen Grafikkarte (hier maximal 20W)
Betriebssysteme, die auf solchen Computern eingesetzt werden können:
Linux mit CentOS 7.3 und höher / OpenSUSE 42.1 und höher / Ubuntu 16.04 und höher
Windows Server Version 2016 und höher
